Oh good grief. This seller is a criminal and the poor fool who buys this is going to be pretty disappointed with the lossy sound quality of what they get on this CD-R...

Nothing says legitimate like having a back cover for your CD with an image taken from a different Romeo and Juliet movie...

That back cover is hilarious! Even "James" is spelt wrong! lol

On the plus side... is that an accurate track list?

So it HAS been recorded after all...

Well, it's just a question of time and a good dose of effort and it will show up on a legitimate label one day...

I believe that Track List is from the Abel Soundtrack.

Yes, Di Caprio on the back is pretty bad.

Sadly, we'll probably see more ebay offerings with competitive prices or a "BUY IT NOW" option at a lower price.

Amazing.

That reminds me of when there was a [cough cough] of Goldsmith's Players, before the legit Intrada version came out, and the artwork was from Robert Altman's The Player. Good times. (if anyone ever decides to do a film music concert featuring less famous/obvious/familiar pieces, Goldsmith's big Wimbledon cue would be a great inclusion).

I hadn't known that Horner actually recorded his R&J -- maybe if I read more Message Board threads...

I'm greatly looking forward to Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, but sad that Korzeniowski isn't on board this time. His score for the original series is probably my favorite work of his, especially the main title theme (his music for the slow-motion shot of the cup shattering -- imagine chef's-kiss gesture).

It's probably best that Korzeniowski wasn't asked back. This new series had nothing to do with the original one. I felt like they tacked on the "Penny Dreadful" for name recognition.

I only saw the first episode which was available for free but I wasn't as thrilled with it as I was the original series.

I can't tell you how much was recorded, but I can tell you fourteen tracks and a little over sixty-four minutes of score for sure. And no, I don't have it.

There was a YouTube video with the whole score done shortly before this thread was started, which people in this thread were assuming it was taken from. No idea if it's still up though. But a lot of us have heard the score.

Finally listened to it. My thoughts:

It's certainly very pleasant to listen to and has a good deal of "Titanic" to it, but I can't for the life of me recall a theme from it except that one flourish that is straight out of Christophe Beck's score to "Guinevere".

And while Horner had a propensity to lift from other composers, I seriously doubt he lifted from "The Usual Suspects", so can anybody tell me which Horner score Ottman lifted from?

Didn't care for the song.

I'd take some score away from it for sure.
