Hi all..
Sorry for this maybe a dumb question ,but what's the difference between TADLOW and PROMETHEUS Records..or are they the same?
I know KING OF KINGS is about to be released so...just out of curiosity.
And do they have more projects in their pipelines?

Just received my DUEL IN THE SUN which adds up to my other ones by them.
All fantastic releases and performances.

Tadlow is James FitzPatrick (UK), and Prometheus is Luc Van Der Ven (Belgium). They are clearly friends and both are marketed under the Tadlow website.

Prometheus often employ the Tadlow team to produce it's releases, for instance 'Mister Moses' and 'The Betsy' by John Barry.

And both have been in the soundtrack business since the 70s!

This interview with Luc Van de Ven gives some background on the Prometheus/Tadlow relationship.

By the way, what a perfect, short answer!

I second the question of what else is in the pipeline?

I've got Duel, along with Hour Of The Gun, sitting in an order right now and looking forward to 'em.

Late last year I picked up Rozsa's Sodom & Gomorrah, Goldsmith's The Salamander and Thriller (Vol. 1), along with Bernard's Dracula/Frankenstein. The production value/sound quality on all these is excellent and I'm fully up for more re-recordings...if I can afford them.

Anyone know if Tadlow and James Fitzpatrick are still active? I had bought someone a month ago from his site but haven't received it or heard anything, and I know there was a period of time when he was putting a pause on work.

Last year in April I did enquire about pending releases from Tadlow to James. He mentioned he was waiting for things to settle down at that time when Covid was raging.

I ordered the Tadlow/City of Prague re-recording of EL CID back in January and enquired recently as to when I might receive it, and James replied saying it's being repressed at present. Their version of BEN-HUR is getting a lot of play here at the moment so looking forward to it smile

That's helpful - I'm exactly the same, and with EL CID. Haven't heard any responses from my emails, but it's good to know that the company is still active.

There were a lot of other Tadlow releases I was interested in too, and their BEN-HUR is definitely aces!
