I don't recall any indication that it's limited.

Yikes. Mine has been in transit from SAE since June 9th! Still waiting...

I'd check on that. I ordered mine from them on the 20th and it arrived yesterday.

I’ll give it another week. I assume you’re in the states?

I’m in Canada and the international shipping has been very inconsistent. The Running Man, which I ordered over a week later than The Thing has already shown up.

And of course I didn’t pay for the loss insurance (it’s practically the price of a replacement)

Yup. For some reason I thought you were in the U.S. too. I must be remembering someone else's statement.

I live in the states, and also placed an order with SAE (yesterday). I received a shipping notice 24 hours later. Are people's transit issues due to international mail problems, or was SAE slow on getting stuff shipped out?

Yeah I assume so. It is in my case. I swear it’s some weird psychic thing I have - right after I posted here my shipping status changed and now it’s en route within the next three days. So, never mind! All good!

Mutant, it's not just you. The speed of mail to and from the U.S. has been remarkably inconsistent the past four months. The biggest challenge is actually within the GTA itself, where packages can get stalled up to three weeks. Canada Post is operating at volumes beyond Christmas levels, and has been for months.

I totally understand and I’m just happy the stuff is getting here at all. Just so jealous of all you guys who’ve been enjoying it for weeks!

@ Mr. Mutant: I got mine from Intrada and it arrived within a week. Also, I received my VTTBOTS set today, a mere 24 hours after the winners of the giveaway. That is very surprising considering that we had two statutory holidays in Canada during the last two weeks. In effect, my package took less time to transit to Canada than within the US. Amazing! eek

IIRC, you are in Ontario, right?

I ordered directly from Quartet and got it within a week. I’m just outside Toronto.

Nice! smile What's even more baffling is that my parcel went through BC, Toronto and then Montreal and it was still quicker than most. eek

In contention for release of the year for me. Which possibly says more about how poor this year has been (purely subjective, it reflects how 'meh' many releases have been to me).

It's a great score, well remastered, with much improved artwork and liner notes. Probably the Legends of the Fall expansion steals it, but The Thing is definitely a surprising contender.
