In season 3 of Mr. Robot, a TV-focused character laments that Knight Rider received only one Emmy nomination.
He then says that they could have at least nominated the theme, which he describes as "some dope-ass shit."
The episode then begins with the Knight Rider theme.

Been aware of the episode of Mr. Robot that had the opening discussing and playing the theme for some time. As for an Emmy nomination for the KR theme... I have no explanation. I do, however, have one for Battlestar Galactica not receiving a nomination.

The Knight Rider theme is so brilliant. When I was little I'd always make sure I caught the beginning for the music. Made my mum and sister run home from after my sister's junior ballet class to catch the start of it.
