Check out my new Filmmusicmag.com with TAMAR-KALI, the acclaimed composer of Mudbound who now talks about innovatively hearing the haunted writer's mind of SHIRLEY.
Watch Elizabeth Moss as the queen of American Gothic on VOD, and listen to Tamar-kali's score on Milan Records! And thanks as always for clicking on Filmmusicmag.com for the latest composer interviews and soundtrack reviews!

Daniel, that was a very interesting interview. I have only seen one film scored by Tamar-Kali, and I assumed the composer was a man. I guess her name is kind of "genderless." I saw The Assistant which was very disconcerting but well-done, and her score echoed the lady assistant's slow awakening and uncomfortableness. I want to see Shirley. I hope to hear some of her more melodic scores in the future. Ms. Tamar-Kali certainly has a strong, descriptive vocabulary, and I enjoyed her interview.
