The second season of "Homecoming" on Amazon Prime features an original score by Emile Mosseri.
After watching the first episode, I wanted to seek out the score album. I wasn't sure if this was more "needle drops" like the first season (that I somehow didn't recognize), but it turned out it was original music.
If you like Herrmann or are a fan of Giacchino's "Lost" scores, I think it's worth a listen. This score is probably available on your music streaming platform of choice. Qobuz has a lossless download.
I wasn't aware that season 2 had premiered already. I was under the assumption everything was on hold in 2020 due to the corona virus. But I loved the first season, and looking forward to the next. Everything about it, including the score, has a very 70s paranoia feel.
I enjoyed recognizing all the music in the first season. Among those I recognized were Klute, The Conversation, All the President's Men, and The Andromeda Strain.
The best part of season 2 IS the music by Mosseri - it’s bold, lurching and practically old-fashioned. It’s a shame the second season pales compared to the first. Gone is all the quirkiness and style, replaced by oddly toned performances and not much in the way of story.

This is the best score of 2020 and it will go largely overlooked amongst the FSM crowd. I hope it finds it audience and they cherish it for the brilliant extension of the influence of Bernard Herrmann.
