One of the biggest champions of fans of film music, Craig Rogers has been taken ill today. He has donated funds to The Golden State Pops Orchestra, helped with Henry Stanny's concerts and has helped with my own Fans Of Film Music. He's also helped with Intrada's DIAL M FOR MURDER campaign and has done so much more for our community. He's been collecting since the 60's and is one of the nicest guys on Earth. Please send him some positive vibes as he could really use them today.

Some have met him many have not, but know this, he shares the same love and passion for scores as we all do. He's one of the family. He chimes in from time to time on this forum under: crogrr.

A speedy recovery to you Craig. I've been collecting since the late 60's too.

UPDATE:

Craig is coming around, still out of it a bit. One word answers, but each day he's getting more responsive. Nothing majorly wrong, no broken bones, etc. which is good. His nurse's are taking good care of him and they put me on speaker phone so he could hear me. Keep him in your thoughts.

AUGUST 2nd 2020 UPDATE:

I'd like to welcome Craig Rogers back. It's been one very long and difficult month and a week for him and I will say, myself included, but he's making HUGE progress. To the point of asking me, "Shouldn't I be being worked on like rehab everyday to get out of here?" He's ready to get out, he has a road ahead of him before that's possible, but he could remember and answer 95% of what I asked/talked about. Two days ago he was in the ICU so it's been a roller coaster of a ride. Let's hope that he keeps going in the right direction with few to any set backs. Shortly after he got his Amazon Echo and now an Amazon Echo Show speaker, he's been doing better. Maybe his favorite film music I played through it helped, who knows. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and he wanted to say to everyone, "Thank you so much for all the good cheer, hope to get back and get of this place and into my house again. I want to be home again with my cats."

Go Craig!

One step at a time. And thanks Peter for making it possible.

We lost one of our film music brothers this morning. Craig passed away today. He was in no pain which is a relief. I loved him and Edwin and I somewhat adopted him as our Uncle. He was a very smart man, collector of film scores for decades and donated to so many film music related causes including my own Fans Of Film Music. A very tough day for us. I was the one who found him unresponsive at his home on June 24th and stayed with him and worked with the dr/nurses. Good bye my friend frown

So sorry to hear about Craig. The film score fan community is small in number, so I still can't help but feel a bit sad myself, knowing how film music has been such a part of my life as it clearly was for Craig. My sympathies to his family, and, may he RIP.

Sorry to read this, Peter, and my condolences to you and Craig’s family and close friends.

As Michael said, ours is such a precious niche community that we are all connected through our passion and support of film music. It’s sad when we lose a friend of us all.

Chris

Thanks for sharing the updates here as well. So sorry for your loss Peter.
I knew Craig only briefly from the few Fans of Film Music events I visited and he was a lovely person the times I got to speak to him.

He will be missed. Here is all the threads he contributed to since 2008. And all along here he would quietly contribute mightily to so many film music projects never making anything of it. He was always there for so many.
