So, about a month ago or so we get an expanded FLETCH LIVES from LaLaLand, then we finally get the original FLETCH soundtrack released by Varese in cd form but it's bare bones. I would've preferred getting an expanded version of the latter as I have no memory of the former since I only saw FLETCH LIVES once and was disappointed. So many great Gregory McDonald Fletch books to chose from, and they go with a lame, original story instead. I'm pondering whether I should give it a rewatch to see if the soundtrack is worth getting.

Both the film and score are solid and well worth picking up.

I believe La-La Land looked into expanding the original but Varese's reissue was already in the works at that point.

Hope Lala is just waiting for Varese’s reissue rights to end for the expanded.

I asked about this in the 'Questions For LLL/MV' thread a few days ago. I love Fletch Live's score a lot and the LLL release was one of my favorite releases in the last couple of years. But the original Fletch has an even better score than the sequel and really deserves an expansion.

Here's hoping it happens soon!
