Our dear friens pointed in one of my Morricone's threads that he was composing the score for an animated version of "The Canterville Ghost", directed by Kim Burdon (Tim Burton from the inverted world??).

I found this on the web:

Filme Music Reporter:
"Ennio Morricone is set to score the upcoming animated feature The Cantervile Ghost. The movie is directed by Kim Burden and features the voice talent of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. The Memoth Films and Arc Productions project is based on the classic story by Oscar Wilde and is written by Keiron Self and Giles New (That Mitchell And Webb Look). Robert Chandler and Gina Carter (Snow Cake) are producing the movie. Arc Productions has previously been involved in animated films including Gnomeo & Juliet and 9, as well as last year’s family hit film Dolphin Tale. The Canterville Ghost marks Morricone’s first CG-animated film project. No release date has been announced yet for the movie, but it is not expected to be completed before 2014."

Morricone on an interview for Zeit Online, back in 2018:
"I'll finish the music for Kim Burdon's animated film The Canterville Ghost and maybe score for Giuseppe Tornatera's next project, but that's it with the soundtrack."

Anyone knows if he completed the score?

Lets hope...

I have been waiting in years for this. I believe that Ennio has finished the music but is a little worried that something has stopped the cooperation.

I'm looking forward to this. I hope he recorded it before he passed away.

Sadly, the film did not have a score by Morricone:

Does anybody know if he recorded anything before he died?

Had no idea this was coming out. We're running the 1943 film for our Howl-o-ween show.
