STAR TREK VI: The Undiscovered Country MCA was my first movie cd purchase then followed swiftly by E.T: The Extra Terrestrial MCA but had problems with copies as there was a glitch everytime at the beginning of the first track, so they very kindly had to replace and after five attempts gotta perfect copy. I specifically requested SPEED Fox Records/Arista as my next purchase. ALL this made possible from my local Cloud 9 Record Store.

The Lost World by John Williams. I was confused by the packaging too.

The Adventures of Robin Hood on Varese by Utah Symphony. And I was glad to have it in 1986!

Stavisky by Stephen Sondheim.
I was into Sondheim before I was into scores and it was included on the second disc of another album.

First CD, the Stanton NUN'S STORY. Then I bought a player. This Waxman score is long overdue for a do-over!

For some reason, I cannot remember exactly which one it was but I strongly believe it was Jerry Goldsmith's "Lionheart", volume one. I remember begging my Dad to front me the money to buy a CD player just so could play that score.

I had just bought my first CD player and stupid me didn't know you had to take the CD out of the case before you stuck it into the player. I spent an hour trying to figure out where you were supposed to insert it!

Lol, this cd same in a box of 3 right? I also have this.

Either “The Last of the Mohicans” or “Gettysburg” or “Jurassic Park.” I can’t remember.

I normally don't like Edelman's style, but Gettysburg is very nice. Fantastic movie, Picket's Charge is very impressive.

First CD, was , I think, Philip Glass' KOYAANISQATSI, right after I got my first CD player.

First soundtrack ever, as probably common for people my age, was STAR WARS in late '77. The 8-Track of course. I still occasionally half expect the CLACLUNK during the Cantina Band and The Princess Appears cuts...
