After hours, days or weeks doing a puzzle just to find out one or two pieces are missing. What a sinking feeling, a sense of loss and a waste of time. Time you'll never get back!
As Laurel and Hardy fans know, the above puzzle is the one from ME AND MY PAL. I had a few recreations made up for member prizes at a recent Sons meeting (we, of course, have the famous "missing head").
Actually, I have a British Laurel and Hardy puzzle with scenes from four of their features. It's a real devil to assemble and, unfortunately, there are a couple of pieces missing. Next time I tackle it I will try to recreate the pieces so I can have the darn thing finished!
