RIP

Here in Norway at least he's very famous for the music he did for Flåklypa Grand Prix (Pinchcliffe Grand Prix), and the Olsenbanden (Olsen Gang) film series

He was one of my film composer heroes, for sure. OLSENBANDEN and FLÅKLYPA (PINCHCLIFFE) are so ingrained in Norwegian popular culture. And then obviously the wonderful theme for the Danish TV series MATADOR, which also became famous in Norway. Plus a whole bunch of other stuff.

I've tried to 'tout his horn' here on FSM a few times over the years, but for most international audiences, he seems to be reduced to the "Alley Cat" guy. He was also one of, it not THE oldest film composer still working - per the 'veteran' thread I have going. I met him in Cannes in 2017 (some of you might have seen my photo posting on Facebook).

First Morricone, and now Bjerre. The big guys are falling one by one.

That’s because people here only Can talk about Williams and Morricone and so on

Why do you Think i label many of Them as semi-introverts

They get so easily offended by almost nothing

Just make a thread headline that could be misjudged as if an upcoming unreleased score is forthcomming and when they see it is not the case they cry like a child and get offended

That’s why I’m so tired of this filmmusic World

BTW I’m offended that people still cry over Morricone (he wasn’t even that good) and at the same time they are still passive about Bent’s pasning
