Can't find a post on this one, so I would like to bring your attention to this amazing work:

This is probably to most exciting, complex and dramatic film score from a Nordic composer I've heard in the later years. A stunning orchestral work with a wide rage of development.

The score starts in a minimalist fashion, which at first might sound quite simple, however it keeps developing on several different levels. All the way through, the score becomes a massive symphonic work, with detailed orchestrations, even very "cerebral" at some points.

I can't remember since when I wasn't able to explore a new contemporary score that really surprised me, as this one did. I presume this kind of music is forbidden in the Hollywood movies nowadays.

If you are into complex orchestral writing, be sure to check out this impressive work. Here's a link to the official page (where you can hear music samples and see the movie trailer as well):

I did a thread on this awhile back, but with the search engine not working properly, I can't find it.

It's a great score, for sure, dark and brooding; although I have yet to see how it works in the film. It was one of those films that got caught up in the corona outbreak and was quickly taken off.

We talk about the work in an interview I did with Marcus and André Øvredal back in November last year, but it's in Norwegian, so probably of limited interest to everyone here: http://celluloidtunes.no/celluloid-tunes-63-en-samtale-med-regissor-andre-ovredal-og-komponist-marcus-paus/

Marcus talks about this score (and many other things, including his love for John Williams's music) in this episode of The Legacy of John Williams podcast:
