Yeah, I think we need more than an Amazon placeholder page and supposed track listing. Holy shit people. It's legit. And just because some random guy on the internet says my bootleg looks different means NOTHING. You have no idea how they have edited it. Id hardly call myself random. And I wouldnt consider it a bootleg either ????

I don't know what any of that means. So far a fansite has reported on an Amazon listing. They put out what looks like a track listing for vinyl, but it's not found on Amazon because Amazon doesn't do track lists anymore apparently. No press release, no mainstream report (which could still be wrong), no confirmation on formats. Very little really. I'm not denying it's happening, just saying this report looks closer to flimsy than reputable.

To be fair they did this with the re-release of the first score. Oh, ok. I don't remember back that far lol. Was it released on CD?

The tracklist does seem very light for this. Maybe they have several combined cues. I also hope the sound quality is not like it was with the re-release of the first score. The mixing of that one still bothers me. Either way, it's better than nothing and this is an instant buy for me! For those asking about comparisons to the first... it's a bit like apples to onions. Bernstein's is truly iconic. I wouldn't say this score (or movie) reaches that level, but it is still very good music. Personally, the love theme between Peter and Dana is one of my favorites. Also the music when Oscar is abducted from the window ledge, and levitates in the Museum is some pretty good and spooky music

WE're getting closer to the release date. Listening to some Ghostbusters 2 samples on YouTube I forgot how much Edelman was the man when it came to scoring comedies in the 80’s. Sorely under-presented when it came to soundtrack releases. Under represented in comedies or soundtracks in general?

His official website mentions it again, with different wording than before (you can see the original wording in the main post of this thread), so I am pretty confident it will come out on June 11th. Hopefully there'll be a CD but its looking like digital and vinyl only right now http://www.randyedelman.com/

Ghostbusters day is tomorrow - hoping we get confirmation of a CD release. Pretty sure a CD isn't happening right now. I hope there will at least be a digital release and this won't be vinyl only.
