Hi folks,

So I have a rather bizarre situation. My order from Intrada arrived from the U.S. according to USPS Tracking on the 21 of July to an airport in Dublin (there is only one airport from Dublin) and on the same day it left the airport to be delivered. Nearly five weeks later, the package remains in transit from Dublin airport to my home in Dublin (45 minute drive). Anyone know what I should do?

Well given that we are in a world that is dealing with COVID-19 and such such delays are sadly all too common these days. My best advice is that if you have a tracking number from the label contact your Postal Service and see if they can track it down using that. It’s entirely possible it’s stuck in customs.

It is very, very possible that it got stuck at customs. First: the pandemic. Second: they have their hands full and they might have just forget about your package. Try to contact the post office or (what I would do) the customs directly. There must be a way to get in touch with them whether via email or telephone. If that doesn't work then go straight to the post office.
Good luck!!

Dave, I had the same problem with a package from the U.S recently. It took weeks to come and it was eventually delivered by FedEx and unfortunately had duty charged on it (which apparently FedEx paid up front leaving me a bill with them) The hold up was in customs who normally would advise you they were holding but because of this pandemic they are under pressure due to restrictions on staff levels. I was advised that packages come through either Dublin Airport or Portlaoise. Chances are it's sitting in customs. So as CharlieBrown advises try contacting them for advise. Another parcel I had coming from Switzerland also took weeks to turn up at the doorstep as the Swiss are not part of the EU. Again was held in customs even though the contents were below the limit after which duty is charged and that is 22 Euro. This link might help

I once phoned customs to ask about a package. They virtually said that they didn't give a shit about an individual package. ' Do you expect us to look for one packet' was their attitude. Very annoying and in helpful.

Two posters in the Lionheart DE thread discussion had very different experiences regarding custom charges. Has anyone else been charged customs duties on packages from VS International to postal addresses in the EU? The last package I ordered went through with no problems, however if there is a crackdown I may have to stop ordering from them.

I had zero issues with a single cd from Varese Int.
Things might get complicated with a higher weight and bulk however.

I live in the Netherlands and my last two orders from Varese's international store were delivered without a problem. Reading posts about people who were less fortunate does make me a bit wary for any upcoming orders.
