The nominees for the 2020 World Soundtrack Awards have been revealed:

The wide range of composers nominated by the World Soundtrack Academy includes guest of honour Alexandre Desplat, Thomas Newman, Benjamin Wallfisch and John Williams. Moreover, last year's Television Composer of the Year, Hildur Guðnado´ttir, is now nominated for the Film Composer of the Year Award whereas last year's Film Composer of the Year, Nicholas Britell is now nominated for the WSAward for TV Composer of the Year.

The Changing World Soundtrack Awards

  • Best Unfinished Score due to #CancelCulture
  • Revelation of the Year: Nebal Maysaud
  • Best Decolonized Song (with lyrics in neither English nor French) by a non-Caucasian
  • The Politically Correct Choice Award
  • "the most likes" YouTube Composer of the Year
  • Queer of the Year
  • "Da Bomb" Award for Best Original Composition by a Young Woke Composer
  • most memorable removal/vandalization of a white composer statue
  • the new "Virus" awarded to the most infectuous earworm music which gets under your skin and won't leave your system
  • most attractive face mask awarded to the member in the congregation who is more socially distant than all others!
