There could be 2 discs of material that would include entries from Blondie, Radiohead, Dionne Warwick, Pet Shop Boys, Phil Collins and Johnny Cash and bunch of others.
I should work on this playlist.

I will always maintain that John Williams' "Uno di Qua, L'altra di La" from STORY OF A WOMAN is the best James Bond song he never wrote: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBxNvgn9m2I&ab_channel=ildiscollezionista

Are you referring to songs that were rejected for Bond films, or songs that sound like Bond songs, but aren't?

Here's an extensive thread of the latter:

Which Pill Collins (or even Genesis) song do you think sound like Bond? Or Johnny Cash?

I knew about some of the ones you mentioned. Pulp and Saint Etienne both had songs called Tomorrow Never Dies which I asumed were also unsuccessful bids for a Bond song.

"Almost" is a bit of a stretch.

Uhm. James Bond *is* a Eurospy.

Don't forget Ace of Base's rejected GoldenEye:

The story is that it wasn't the Bond people who rejected it, but their label Arista, which was afraid the Bond film would flop, since Bond hadn't been seen onscreen in 6 years, and the last film hadn't been successful either.

The song is a demo, obviously, it would have sounded a lot better with proper orchestral backing.

All this is great! Definitely need a official pressed issue of Almost Bond songs. Call it "Never Bonded" or something like that. I think the Alice Cooper one is pretty cool. Great idea
