Making a claim something is "brilliant" requires some evidential analysis.
It doesn't, really. It's a pure evaluative adjective, along with good, great, wonderful, superb etc. But if you're geuinely interested in why I think it's a BRILLIANT film, click on the earlier link I provided, and run it through Google Translate.

There are "standards" and they can be evaluated objectively.
