The press blurb specifically describes it as "original/unedited music ... [as written for the film]." That can go a couple of different ways but hopefully it's not a PHANTOM MENACE: Ultimate Edition situation. The boon and the burden of streaming is that the conglomerates can make content available on the cheap that they'd otherwise keep locked up, but at the same time they can dump a lot of content on the cheap without curating it.
Rogue One was recorded in LA with union musicians, so the re-use fees would be pretty pricey. Solo was recorded in London.
Thought it was rather odd that Powell would get a complete before Williams but that makes perfect sense. Oh for the days of the LSO!
I'm not a fan of digital only but I will be buying this just to show Disney there is an interest in these types of things so that hopefully more will come in the future.
So long as this isn't like Phantom Menace UE I will be buying it. With John Powell involved I expect it will be done right. However I dont entirely trust Disney to make this available outside the US. If they do I'll add my support in the vain hope that it shows there is a market and we might be able to get deluxe editions of the other 10 Star Wars scores done right.

You mean that for whatever reason it would be so much more expensive than STAR TREK BEYOND from the same year and also recorded in L.A., which got Deluxe edition released years ago?
