Not sure what to think. I like Gibson and Goggins, but it'll be interesting to see if they can make this idea work - it seems like a one-note joke on the face of it.
The filmmakers Ian and Esh are friends of mine so I’ve seen an early cut of the film. It has a great deadpan funny tone and both Mel and Walton are great in it. The temp score had a great Spaghetti Western quality that worked very well. It’s a clever spin on the Santa story with some really enjoyable moments. Goggins is hilariously pathetic.

It's a great trailer and I'm really excited about this film.
and it all works pretty well in the film as well... especially Do You Hear What I Hear...
and closer to the climax there is a sequence, which starts just with (electronic) pulse and then builds until the SFX are quite beautifully incorporated with the score just as it was one.
