Passed on this and did not regret it at all. Overpriced when it came out and more overpriced now. Also, the presentation is bad. CDs in envelopes. Scores not expanded much and the extra tracks are tacked onto the end. In bulky packaging that I've seen people say is falling apart. Several of the scores in this set have been expanded and I have those releases. I'll pick up the others if they come out eventually. Otherwise I can live without them. I completely agree.

I got it for less than retail value when it was still in print, and to me it was worth the $250-ish I spent for it. Retail price was already a stretch, and I certainly wouldn't pay aftermarket prices that exist today. The book is great. The DVD was mush, inasmuch as it's just a video version of small parts of the book. The box was garbage - it came broken, and I never bothered to wood-glue the panel back on because the thing was built to be shoved in an attic. Music-wise, I was very pleased - and it presaged Elfman's later predilection for tacking "bonus tracks" onto his OST programs. It was nice to get all the little oddball rarities that would not likely make even a much-expanded label release. AND, for the Disney scores, it was a blessing to get even the expansions we got since Disney is typically so stingy with this stuff - especially back then before they did their brief Legacy Collection deal. I won't be angry if the labels could eventually get around to releasing fully comprehensive releases of the ones they haven't done yet, though. Given the limited, expensive-even-at-the-time, incomplete, and OOP nature of the box, there's surely a market for these scores.
