I didn’t see a thread on the score already so decided to start one. Just received my CD today and it’s great! I’ve always enjoyed these soundscape/music concrete style especially from horror movies of this period. Exorcist III is another score that comes to mind.
Sound quality is crystal clear although I heard a strange anomaly in the first track from 6:58-7:04 almost like distortion or clipping. Not sure if it’s inherent in the recording or not.
Not a lot of love for this one eh? Guess a lot of you would just think ‘what’s all that noisy s**t!’ I was always curious about this one as I remember being a bit disappointed when I saw the film years ago but the music/soundscape hooked me even then. I finally got to hear bits from the cd so I’ve ordered it. It’s weird listening to and liking this kind of stuff. There’s no real themes or anything to grab onto but it just kinda..sucks you in. Heard the noise I think you were mentioning Mutant but it really is hard to tell if it’s just part of the soundscape or not. Sure is a brilliant eerie listen. That wee four note female voice moment in the opening track brought the memory of it flooding back.

Yeah it doesn’t really sound like an instrument or a sample. And I don’t hear it when watching the film, but it’s admittedly a very minor thing. I asked Lalaland about it and got a four word response: “ Intentional via composer’s request”
Great score though. Still dig that wacky end title track.

Has anyone else noticed this?
it sounds like distortions but nothing that i care about as it is only once on the CD and I applaud LLLR for releasing such a forgotten score to a forgotten movie...The only thing I actually missed on the CD is the endcredits with the repeating dialogue "Shows over...damn...The Graveyard shift...You got a problem, I don´t got a problem...come on take a break, the break´s over...no more no more no mooooore..."

Yeah I find myself impersonating those quotes when listening to it. I guess they’d have to pay the actors to include it?
As I said, I’m not overly bothered by the opening track. Just wanted to see if it was only on my copy. Great release.
