I like a lot of your musical preferences, Onya. Look at that, I spelled it right this time! I am guilty of being a super fan of a few composers, though I don't get every single release for any of them. I feel like my favorite composers have "peak" eras that I tend to focus on.

Yes, either peak eras, or peak genres that they work in.

'I wouldn't trust your opinion'
------------------
I'll take that as a compliment.

That's as maybe...but, respectfully...
You're still doing it wrong.

Onya - how can you possibly seek to change the way that film scores are released when, by your own admission, you're not even a film score fan?

Why not leave these releases to the people who really care about them?

For musical recommendations around here, I look to Jim Phelps, villagardens, Graham Watt, purplemonkeydishwasher, ZardozSpeaks, and maybe a few others whose names escape me. With all respect, you are not part of that select group.

Not seeking to change anything. I am asking "Why," and I have not seen a compelling explanation yet.

Also, I said that I am not "categorically" a film score fan, though I own literally thousands of film scores.

On a CD or LP, I expect a film score to play like an album, and if it doesn't, the producer iMO has not done his/her job.

"For musical recommendations...yabba dabba doo"
---------------------
So, basically, people who share your tastes.
Again...I'll take that as a compliment.
And I reiterate...you're doing it all wrong.
But hey, it's your funeral.

What's up with you lately, Kev? I just saluted you in that 'influential' thread, but now I'm thinking I may have been premature. You've seemed a bit.....well, "off" lately, compared to your usual good demeanour. Maybe the corona blues is getting to us all.

Haha...no such thing, Thor.
I'm all good (I don't know that thread, but...Thanks?)
Just having a little play with Onya smile

Good to hear. You should join our "Cheers" meetings one of these days (even if you have online work meetings all day long). Body language is everything!

Grandchildren only ADD to your 'cool', so that puts me streets ahead.

You can dance to Star Wars too.
In fact, I've yet to come across a piece of music I can't dance to (and I've heard Morricone's concert music!! wink
