Notable for so many reasons, "Aliens" was the score for which James Horner received his first Oscar nomination. Surprising perhaps, given that barely any of the score exists intact in the final edit of the movie. Infamous for the strain it put on the working relationship between Horner and director James Cameron, this book presents each cue as it was originally intended and can be studied alongside the London Symphony Orchestra's soundtrack recording, available from Varèse Sarabande. For the first time, enjoy being able to study the extended note ranges, techniques and effects which Horner employed to create this iconic piece of film music history.

Well, for once, it will be more expensive for those of us in the US, since the publisher is based in the UK. Getting it shipped to the US is running me about $15.
$15 is expensive?!
Now compare it with Omni's shipping to the rest of the world:
Basic Instinct - $75
Shipping - DHL Express Worldwide $85.23
That's I call expensive.
And now I really wish that Omni & Chris Siddall will start some kind of cooperation, 'cause in that case people outside US could buy their great releases.
This ridiculous shipping price is the only reason why I still not got BTTF, 2 Batmans, BI... 
Yeah, that is way too expensive. It's because of those outrageous shipping prices I don't buy some of those releases. I will get ALIENS though.

So, I assume with the new year, everything shipped from UK to a European Union country will go through customs?

It was disappointing to get this email yesterday - this was going to be a Christmas gift to me. Thank goodness for the Quartet Records bundle released yesterday.
It's not surprising though that there is a delay.
If this is being shipped from the UK to Europe then, as far as I understand it, a customs declaration will need to be made. I assume that, as with ordering here in the UK from the US, over a certain value some sort of additional charge will be levied.
But, as with all things Brexit, who knows what will happen.

Hi all. Yes it was sent by me, and a very tough email to send. I'm equally if not even more disappointed that we haven't succeeded in shipping in time for Christmas but faced with the choice of compromising the quality of the end product, I feel that the lesser of two evils is to give the printer the time they need to do the fantastic job I know they now will.
With regards to Brexit and customs after Jan 1st, nobody knows for sure (what a ridiculous situation), but I can say this as far as I know it right now:
Printed sheet music is tax exempt and ships under a specific commodity code that identifies it specifically as printed sheet music. I don't have direct control over what any customs agent will decide to do when these packages cross their desks, but they will all ship with a properly filled in customs declaration that should mean no additional charges are applied.
I look forward to seeing everyone's reactions when they do finally get their hands on these books. Any feedback about the books themselves, the packaging they're shipped in, any issues with customs, whatever it is I would love to hear it. Please feel free to contact me on info@chrissiddallmusic.com

At last!
My copy of 'Aliens in Full Score' has arrived. Looking forward to examining it along with my Deluxe Edition of the CD. Not sure I will be able to follow it much, but I want to see what Horner did in all those action cues.
