Nice going Patty. Great advice from a selfish idiot. I'm sure some people will get sick and/or die just to see your f@cking film.
Name ONE Covid outbreak definitively linked to a movie theater.
Couple of hundred people all sitting in close proximity in a single room with no windows, the doors shut and aircon recycling the air., Yeah, no risk at all.

I don't think it's safe to be heading to theaters at this time, but I guess the sooner they do their red carpet rollouts, the sooner these flicks hit home entertainment. I mean, Tenet is already coming to Blu-ray next month. WW84 is one I would have liked to see on the big screen, but hey these are weird times and we're all just rolling with them.

Outbreak got it right.
Movie theaters have greatly restricted capacity. You don't sit near anyone you didn't go to the theatre with. Yes, there are risks involved. That doesn't mean there have been any Covid outbreaks tied to going to a movie theatre.
If you can show one happened, please do. But nothing so far indicates that it's happened. The most recent article I can find, from Monday, says the number is still zero.
I have not seen more than three or four other people, tops, at any movie screening I have attended in the last three months. I'm more likely to get infected at work.
I went to the cinema twice here in Regina during the pandemic, I got shanghaied into watching shite - Tenet and the last Liam Neeson film. It was so empty I felt very safe and didn't come within 6 feet of anyone. However, it was briefly closed when a worker tested for covid I think last month or the month before.
Correction, I think someone with covid went there and infected a worker. So it started outside the place.
