Everyone familiar with Tiomkin's scores knows the effect of his raucous, braying brass in fanfares and action music... like in The Alamo and Fall of the Roman Empire (example below, right at the start of the clip) and many more. I don't recall hearing it prominently in other film composers' scores, or even other classical composers' work. It almost seems to be a Tiomkin "exclusive". Which other film music composers used the effect?

It would be rather expensive to produce but I suspect there are some people with deep pockets who could cover it. Definitely not a profitable enterprise.
