No Thanksgiving here either in the UK. We have turkey for Christmas. I say that, we - my family - never do. Unless we attend some works Christmas event, and that ain't happened for a while. Usually in a pub this is when I order turkey. It's a safe bet and it's the only time I ever have it so I don't mind.
We usually have the UK traditional (though some don't know it) goose, or sometimes duck. I often think two ducks yield more actual meat than one goose.
But I do love pumpkin pie and that's a delicacy I wish the Brits would adopt. You know, to the point that I wouldn't have to make it myself if I wanted it, and it was available in bakeries and supermarkets. I could REALLY eat some right now.
