Please forgive me if this was already done, but browsing around yesterday I happened upon a new release of STAR WARS and EMPIRE 2LP sets with new art from Disney.
Too many new editions with only a new packaging for crazy STAR WARS saga's geeks collectors ! It looks surprisingly (not so , it's Disney) like the marketing method of Georges Lucas with its revisited versions with CGI effects of the first movies .
All they needed to do was flip the front and back from the original LP. That back cover may be my favorite album cover. It helps that it's a favorite movie poster, but somehow I liked it even more on that LP.
If that was ever promotional art for the movie - not that I recognise it if it was - they've done an horrendous job of cropping it. They've cut characters' legs off but left this swath of dead space in the middle. Very odd.

I love that cover too but the figures on the bottom should've been left off or bigger. They look randomly placed with to much dead space around them. Same with the X-wings.
"I am hearing detail I’ve not heard before. More separation , more depth and more detail. CD just cannot compete with this level of sound quality and I have a Linn CD12. The vinyl pressing is a bit crackly in places".
CD's just can't provided the sound quality of snap, crackle and pop like a vinyl can!

Ha ha!
I must admit I'm a little too young for the first run of vinyl and never got on board with it's resurgence in recent years... Is the appeal mainly nostalgia for how things sounded when people first heard them?
Then again, I wouldn't want to go back to cassette tapes - I'll stick with my 192/24 FLAC files, thank you very much.
This is the laziest and most disrespectful design work they could come up with. they must not have spent more then a day to put these horrendous covers together. From the gigantic font size to the badly cropped poster. This is sadly too common with Disney. They picked the worst and most poorly composed of Boris Vallejo's poster arts for the Empire. Any of the four others would have looked better (but I think he wasn't the right artist to pick from)

That's what I like about it, their smallness in the space, the sense that the world they're in is bigger than being only what they and their story needs.
Despite my prior comments about not getting into the LP market, ever, Not The Nine O'Clock News is my speed (my speed being somewhere between 33 and 78, presumably?). Thanks for the laugh.
