SEASON 1:

I've never seen the show before, but it's 1970's and Nelson Riddle, and super rare (I've been waiting years for the series to pop up so I could identify the composer on each episode; now they're up). I figure the channel isn't long for this world, so I am putting a rush on it and putting "Greatest American Hero" on the back burner to handle this.

This was a short-lived 1976 Stephen J. Cannell created series. It takes place in the 1930's and stars Wayne Rogers. Looks like he left "M*A*S*H" to do this (based on the years). Didn't work out.

The series' theme and all episode scores, are by Nelson Riddle.



"The November Plan" (Parts 1, 2, and 3)

NOTE: I am noting where each part begins incase in the future the channel is gone and I have to start with a new one that has all parts as separate videos.

  • 1:26:29 in. Made of cool. Gonna be sweet to own this one day. Somewhere around three minutes long.
  • 1:32:25 in. Opens with more cool.
  • 1:34:14 in. Riddle sure has cool nailed down, I tell you what. About four minutes of cool.
  • 1:39:37 in.

    Part III:
  • 1:44:10 in. Made mostly of cool, but has heavy FX over it and some dialogue.
  • 1:54:33 in. Has some slow cool in it.
  • 2:00:04 in. Begins out cool and then beautifully, for a short bit, combines it with breezy material. And the next cue after the commercial break (all cool).
  • 2:18:54 in.
  • 2:21:00 in.
  • 2:26:04 in.
  • 2:26:55 in.

    I remember John Javna mentioned "City of Angels," as one of the best crime/detective series in his "best of tv" series. though out was short lived, he gave it an honorable mention due to the acting and setting.
