Aargh. Overlong soundtracks galore. But there was some good music in the Season 1 soundtrack that could be re-shuffled and abbreviated into a coherent whole, so hopefully the same is true for these. I haven't yet started Season 3 on Netflix; looking forward to it.

Tomorrow, Jan. 06th, I will be checking:

Hi All,

Tune in Wednesday, January 6th at 1 PM (PST) as COBRA KAI composers LEO BIRENBERG and ZACH ROBINSON join Film Music Live to talk about their scoring for the hit TV re-invention of The Karate Kid, whose energetically contemporary channeling of Bill Conti and everything rocking about the 80’s now soars to epic dimensions for Season 3 on Netflix. Have your queries ready, as the first five live questioners in the U.S. will receive CD copies of the Season 1 soundtrack, courtesy of La La Land Records!

On the series I loved the 1st season, liked a little less the 2nd (but it was still good) and I'm currently at the 3rd episode of Season 3, which so far left me unimpressed, hope it gets better with further episodes.

On the soundtracks: Loved all of them and preordered Season 2 and 3 toghether with the CD from the 1st Season (that I had only on digital).
I remember MV mentioning that Season 2 was not going to be released on CD because Season 1 did not sold so well, but I think the series gained in popularity at Netflix and maybe this improved the soundtrack CD sales.

I think, also, sometimes you have to release what you can to make some $.

I preordered both of them. I love the first score CD. I've listened to it almost every day in the past two months while working from home. It has so many good themes.

Does anyone who has received their copies CDs care to post a review?

I’m patiently waiting on mine to ship but I’d love to read some reviews in the meantime.

I ordered mine on the 11th, got a message on the 12th that said awaiting shipment, and still have not seen a shipping notice. Thinking they are very backlogged of orders of these cool releases.

Received a shipping notice on Jan 21st, but I know I shall not receive it for at least 60 days.

Brazilian post office has a terrible process now that everything arrives in the state I live in but is sent to another state for customs checking, then it is usually cleared without taxes after at least 30 days (if under USD 50, or sometimes they tax it and charge 60% import fees on the product and on the shipping cost...), then you have to pay additional USD 3 for local postal costs... then it takes some time before they actually send it after these local postal costs are paid...
You also need to have your tax id number in the package and the tracking number to be able to register and pay the local postal costs or you may never receive what you ordered.

To avoid all this I usually do not purchase directly from the labels anymore, but through a local store were I have to pay more as they also add their fees but usually receive the items faster, within aprox. 30 days. Not easy to be a soundtrack collector out of US, Uk or Europe...
That’s one of the reasons I love so much the BSX / Dragons Domain model of offering hi-res downloads with the purchases of the CDs, then I can immediately enjoy the music (like Canterville Ghost/Amityville 3D) while the CDs are traveling for months before arriving.
