The pressure of what little celebrity I've achieved here forced me to hurry this one out.
"Hello," said the cat to the gal.
"Feed me now and I'll make you my pal.
But 2 seconds of neglect?
To The Dark Side I'll defect!
And poop in your shoes... Yes, I shall!"

I'm talking to the archivist remotely. She's telling me that they might have to strike a new negative from the inter-positive.

The way he makes everyone laffe.
It's his brains that account
For his jokes like a fount.
He's more clever than most blokes by haffe.
*Just watch the British pronunciation of this word be different than the American, thus wrecking my whole poetical edifice.

In fact it's quite hard
As the Yanks say "Bernard"
But the Brits will insist that it's "Bernard".

I’m going to have a run at this now to try to add in the last limericks that made this thread disappear, with a bit of narrative to give them a little context. They’re mine unless attributed elsewhere.
First, linked with how hard this thread became to find, Jenkwombat pitched in to be helpful and certainly didn’t deserve the one that came to mind for him, for which I was grateful he took it in good heart...
Jenkwombat’s in a tight spot
Though he searches, nowhere has he got.
Now “wombat” means kind,
Persistent, refined,
And “jenk” is a word that meaning “not”.
Yavar’s just like a piranha
Every Goldsmith score he has to garner
His faves include S*P*Y*S
The Blue Max and The Prize
And the one like Carmina Burana
dtw gave his commentary on modern scoring:
The banging of pots and of pans
Is a score style with plenty of fans.
But if most sound the same

And he also offered commentary on a disputed interview, the exact background to which escapes me at present:

I have chosen the path of convenience. I'm taking an episode from the life of TallGuy (mentioned in another thread) and SELLING HIM OUT (as Joan Didion said all writers do).
If a movie sale results, though, I will cut him in.
