Let's start with Barry's masterpiece, OHMSS. The 2003 expansion is a magnificent upgrade from the original CD, but it isn't complete.

I made the following sound clips from the movie:

- Resignation Medley
- Request Granted
- Tracy Arrives at Bullfights
- Spanish Guitar at Bullfights (totally beaten down by incessant dialogue)
- Alpine Christmas Festival
- Tracy and Blofeld Recite Poem (but this appears to be from "Over and Out" on CD)
- Bond Mourns Tracy (slow version of "We Have All the Time" love theme)

Is that it? If I could have only one more thing on the CD, it would be the Spanish guitar, because you can barely make it out in the film.

It would be interesting if someone would or could release a compilation of the still unreleased music from the Bond scores. I think that might sell better than new expansions.

If I have an 80-minute expanded CD of a score, I'm probably not going to spring for an 85-minute version spread over two CDs.

I think this is a good idea, however with the amount of missing music still not released this would take up at least 4 CD’s.

I am still looking forward to La La Land Records releasing more James Bond expanded soundtracks once ‘No time to die’ has been released, let’s hope this happens next year for 60th anniversary.

Top of my list is Moonraker & LIcence to Kill (this has at least 58 minutes not released), although would really like the following Barry albums expanded MWTGG, Octopussy & AVTAK & Thunderball (still has about 20 minutes unreleased music) & non Barry scores TND & TSWLM & Goldeneye (about 40 - 50 minutes unreleased music)

Then they could break them up by composer era or actor era.

I'm interested only the Connery era, so I won't buy a 4-CD set encompassing the entire series.

Since we've gone over this several times a full Bond set is impossible without some sort of compromised quality. The master tapes for the first three films are lost so whatever's missing from Dr. No, FRWL, and Goldfinger would have to be lifted from DMEs, which is a problem in and of itself. Same goes with Moonraker. The status/condition of Octopussy, VTAK, and LTK is also unknown.

Well, that means that I am finished with my Bond buying, except for a few of the knockoff LPs that I still haven't found.

I'd take all that. Plus additional expansions of the more recent scores. The Craig films have some fine music left off their albums. Still would take a complete Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Live and Let Die would be sweet complete and as much as I loathe The Spy Who Loved Me...it's Bond, so I'll take a proper score release.

I am a great believer that anything is possible, who would have thought that La La Land Records would have been able to do Die another day expanded score (2017) & The world is not enough expanded (2018). I know the 1st 3 x films the master tapes are said to be lost but they can always lift them by other means.
You never know what might happen with the 60th Anniversary coming up in 2022 for me this is too good an opportunity to miss for the James Bond scores as this is the one category the music that has not been tapped apart from the fantastic expansions Lukas Kendall did in 2003 on 4 of the older scores.
I think it would be great for perhaps expanded score box sets for the Bond actors who played Bond , a Connery Box set , a combined Lazenby & Dalton Box set, Moore Box set, Brosnan Box set (offer with DAD & TWINE & without) & finally a Craig Box set or other options like a full expanded score Boxset , let’s hope & pray La La Land Records will be able to do this or at least more Single Expanded Bond scores as I know the James Bond music community is really hoping this will happen.

OHMSS should be combined with the Connery set.

Wasn't that the original idea by Silva for those Bond Back In Action releases they did some years ago, but when they looked at it decided it just wasn't worthwhile with the unreleased music left. Or something like that.

My big dream is a box set called, "James Bond, the first 25 years" with all the scores in both original album format first, and then complete and chronological format where possible, for all the films between Dr. No and The Living Daylights.

Yes agree this would also be very nice let’s just hope La La Land Records are looking
at all these possible options as the 60th anniversary is too bigger opportunity to miss, considering the last big lot of expanded Bond scores was in 2003 almost 20 years ago.

Yes. The first volume was a good placeholder before the expanded CDs came out.

I don't think this would sell well because of (1) the existing expanded CDs and (2) the small number of fans of the entire franchise.

Bond fans in my experience tend to be era-specific. This idea might work as a series of smaller box sets focused on the films of a particular Bond actor.

These were great by Silva Screen & have all of these, but you just cannot beat the originals of the Bond scores by John Barry, Bill Conti , George Martin , Michael Kaman ,David Arnold etc & that’s what the Bond Music community really want.

Instant purchase. But make it the first 35 years and it would be even faster big grin

Yes the 1st 35 years would be excellent would then cover Dr No through to Tomorrow Never Dies , again would buy this as an instant purchase

Everybody knows that the *true* Bond series ended with Dalton's last outing. Brosnan onward basically constitutes the wannabe Apocrypha. :-)

I have the following additional tracks that I was not able to include on the 2003 CD. I am sorry to torture people...I cannot share them...but because people are speculating:

Xmas Trees - a version sung solely by the kids - 3:36 [the CIA asked to use this at Gitmo]

2M1 We Have All the Time in the World jazz combo - film version - 2:52

2M2 Try - film version 3:13

4M2 guitar source 2:50

The Swiss alps skating source music, I don't have the slate # handy, 2:54 [the A section is the oompah music, the B section is the prettier melody]

and three score cues:
13M1 (score, soft suspense) 1:02
13M2 (score, orchestral version of We have All The Time in the World) 3:46
16M3 (soft instrumental of We Have All the Time in the World, flute melody) 0:39

There was a missing roll, I was told, that had sustained water damage. I believe it includes the film version of Escape From Piz Gloria, the other appearance of the action music in the Swiss town chase (Bond attacked in a phone booth)...and I don't know what else. These would have to be taken from the film stem if a 2CD set is ever produced.

Sorry for the frustration—
Lukas
