The owner of The Omega Productions (French genre soundtracks) contacted me to say they are closing their operations and asking me to delete all of his posts.
I have refused, explaining that those posts are part of the public record, and should remain available to collectors interested in the titles.
Even though I regret very much the closing of yet another specialized label, I'm not surprised.
Omega was offering titles too obscure or avant-garde, many of their releases were plagued with dialogue and sound effects, not to mention their poor art design. Nothing appealing to score fans.
So I presume their sales must have been close to none.
Never even heard of this label before, but looking at the thread linked to in Lukas' post, I must say it's quite an impressive output. I actually like the cover art on many of those. I see they released MARTYRS too, which was a phenomenal film.
But I don't understand why he would want the thread and comments removed. Just because you disband a label, doesn't mean you delete it from existence. Maybe there's something there I don't know.
They have deleted all their posts on the French forum Underscores.
If you have the links to the forum pages, there might be cached pages saved of them (if it's a closed forum where you need to log in to see things I guess it won't work though)
There are also other archive websites like archive.org (AKA: The Way Way Back Machine). If anybody archived them. It's gonna drive him nuts though. Good luck getting archive websites to remove it, Omega.

After surveying I bought some of those titles the music is grand & overwhelming - I didn't know some of the composers that is the real insight - also the art-liner notes are as good as any boutique job, i'm pretty pissed too that there's no more ltd-pressings that is a rare feature today! Thanks for all those OP!
Maybe it was the lack of film-fans interest that certainly suxs - i'd say most missed the boat not being courageous enuff, this is probably the EU barnacle that's unsavoury, - with what other labels have done changing tariffs! Either-way its bad-news!

Maybe he ran afoul of copyright infringement if he was copying movie audio. Regardless, the closing of a company issuing fake soundtracks is a good thing, but I'm sure he'll be back under "Acme Inc."

That's incorrect. A few of their CDs for cult horror films were very well done. High quality music + production.

Yeah, for sure seems a bit suspect if they want to wipe their existence like that.
Sorry to see them go I thought they had released some very interesting titles. Think they went the wrong way when the decision to focus mostly on just releasing LPs only.
The picture I get is the one of a captain willing to scuttle with his ship! A pity they have to stop their business because they once announced they would release scores from TV series on CD and I really wonder what these titles would have been. I have four of five of their CD's including two by Daniel White and do enjoy them.
