Lubbock scored the movies ANY MAN'S DEATH (1990) and DEAR GOD (1996, with James Patrick Dunne) and the TV series ANYTHING FOR LOVE (1989-92).
He is most known for his first-class arranging, on film scores like ROCKY IV (Vince DiCola), LISTEN TO ME and STEALING HOME (David Foster) and WITH HONORS (Patrick Leonard).
He also arranged Pat Metheny's album Secret Story and he released solo albums.
I remember him from the fabulous NUTS soundtrack from 1987 (the shortest CD ever probably, ca. 17 min)! Such great and heartfelt arrangements, still one of my listening favorites.
I first thought this was an old, ressurected thread about the passing of Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch (who passed away in December). I've vaguely heard the name Jeremy Lubbock before, but I don't believe I've heard any of his scores. Sorry to hear about his passing.
ANY MAN'S DEATH turned up on youtube. I just saw the film. Rather boring to be honest, it reminded me at times of THE ISLAND OF DR MOREAU.
The score by Lubbock was entirely electronic (minus a few sax licks), and rather minimalistic in a way. Should be enough material for a soundtrack release, but maybe not too interesting outside of the movie. I'm glad I got to hear how Lubbock chose to score a film, though.
