With the release of Beverly Hills Cop awhile back, have there been any hints of a full Top Gun score cd? There are some great synth pieces from the film score that have never been released. Some of the dog fight music, the piece after Maverick's trial, launch from the carrier at the end, and others. Definitely worthy of a release.
It's one of my remaining 'holy grails', and we periodically do threads about it, but I believe there are all kinds of complex issues behind-the-scenes preventing a score-only release. I think the guys at LLL have tried, to no avail. But I don't know anything about the specifics.

If you don't have time to listen, they say that it's completely done on their end, but have to wait until after Top Gun Maverick is out before they can release it.
