Just from reading this thread, I went exploring and found....
"Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar", a 2004 compilation album produced by James R. Jensen and released on Solid Air Records. Jensen asked the guitar players on his label to perform some of their favorite Mancini compositions. The resulting album earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album in 2005. (All this info from Wikipedia.)
I found it all on YouTube and went immediately to "The Sweetheart Tree", a theme that doesn't always make it to these kind of albums. Ya better love a lot of acoustic guitar in one sitting to enjoy this album.
There's also "Sarah Vaughan Sings the Mancini Songbook" released in 1965. It leads off with "How Soon", another song that doesn't get enough attention. The whole album is terrific.
The Pink Guitar mention reminded me that I have a different guitar Mancini album--by Royce Campbell. It's called A Tribute To Henry Mancini. Haven't played it in years. I just looked on Campbell's website--he's also got a solo guitar Mancini album plus many more. He played with Mancini for 20 years, his site says.
