While the original album is a fine presentation of the score covering many of the most important parts, there is still quite a lot of music missing. Is there any chance the score will get revisited one day?

After all it will be 14 years this fall since the film was released.

If the situation with LLL's upcoming release of the same composer's Bumblebee is any indication, I wouldn't count on one soon.

Excellent Marianelli score for a very good film. I liked that typewriter-like figure for the main character.

Yeah that use of typewriter is genius! Can totally understand why this won an Oscar!

Has he ever made anything else in this style before? I have checked out some of his work, but nothing really stood out to me. Is this his best work to date?

Was that problem with the composer though? Or the company?

Well, LLL stated that Bumblebee would be unexpanded as per Marianelli's wishes. Like when they did Altered States, John Corigliano said no to any additional music.

Then again, Intrada managed to expand a Trevor Jones score, so who knows.

Ah gottcha. I thought you were referring to the delay of its CD release. Lol!

A great video about the score. Never thought about the fact that the score is just for Briony. Only in her scenes and her versions of the story do we hear music.

I find the typing annoying. The music in those cuts becomes background music to the typing. Maybe it plays well in the film.
