Yeah, and a Spotlight on Intrada’s Rio Conchos too — when I can find the time to record them...much tougher now since I just started a new job.

It looks like the TRT is about 82 minutes, so they needed to split the program somewhere.

82 minute CDs have existed for a while. Still not sure why people refuse to acknowledge them.

Actually closer to 84 minutes, and you're right.

Even 84 minute CDs are doable. The Bach 333 box has quite a number of CDs that go over /86/ minutes.

Beethoven 2020 as well

Yes, I know about those. I collect classical music too. But when was the last time you saw a US-based film music speciality label release a CD over 80 minutes? (And after you answer, why do you think that is?)

so where is anyone from EU getting their copies from?

Not the EU now but the UK shop covers Europe...

Yes, but since UK is no longer EU it doesn't solve the import-related issues.

My copies arrived today. No import-related issues

Is there anybody actually working at Varese at the moment?? I have emailed them 5 times over the past 4 days, to all available email addresses about a shortfall in my order and have not had a single reply. Not a great way to run a business.

I dunno the answer for sure. But most people in this forum seem to take it as gospel that the max is 80, even when they probably HAVE CDs over 80 minutes (from, say, Chandos or that Hitchock disc on Toccata). I remember Doug or Roger one time saying something about how above 80 minutes it couldn't be guaranteed to work or some weirdness, but I've ALSO seen a different CD producer (Robert von Bahr of the BIS label) say that they never once had a complaint over 80 minute CDs, AND that the 'guarantee' spot was actually at around 77:30.
