Many years ago I saw a series (or movie) where James Franciscus played a young man who tried to kill his aunt in order to get her money. I remember he tried to kill her shutting her into his car with the engine on so she smothered and it failed. There was a detective who suspected about him.
I know he tried to murder her aunt several time until he pushes her downstairs but it is himself who falls down. Well, I can't find the series, it isn't at any Franciscus' biography. So I would like to know if someone remembers it. Perhaps he was the guest star in some series about detectives. Thank you very much.

Maybe you only THINK it is James Franciscus but really it someone that reminds you of him?

I saw a fun revenge thriller years ago about a man killing off the Wall Street pricks that caused the 2008 crash and the other day I was trying to think of the name of it. I was SURE Jon Cena was the lead but that is all I could remember of the cast. After having no luck with Cena's filmography, I somehow stumbled onto the movie but realized it was Dominic Purcell. They have a lot of physical similarities. By the way, the movie is Assault on Wall Street.

Its funny how the memory throws you. I thought the film might be Hell Boats, but then i remembered thats about a ww2 squad trying to find saboteurs in a harbour and nothing like the plot of anybody killing their mother. wink

So, im no help whatsoever.

Hi Bill, I think I remember Hell Boats. That was what WW2 might have looked like with a bigger budget.

I saw The Valley and every one of the movies and I can't find what I saw. I think he was guest star in some old series and it isn't online, thank you!!!

There are a lot of old series starred by James that I have found because I was searching a lot. Not all are easy to find. Thank you!

I have searched on IMDB and I see there are many series whose episodes are in blank, not plot, not actors-
Have a nice day!!!

James Franciscus? Starred in Beneath the Planet of the Loincloths? Ah, fond memories of youth.

Thank you! Oh I have searched a lot, also every episode of the detective series, the problem is there are a lot that have no plot or cast. I think James was guest star in some of those series (for example Mannix, Harry O, or some like them)

Can you remember the decade the film was made? 60s, 70s, etc.? About what age was he in the movie/show? Was the movie/show in color or black and white?
If you can pin some details such as these down it might make the search easier.

I try to remember. I know James let his aunt shut into his car and I think it was a car from the first years of 70s.
I also remember James played tennis and the inspector/detective came to interview him. There was also a cottage by the beach.
As he tried to push his aunt downstairs he falls down and in the next scene the inspector/detective comes to tell the aunt her nephew won't be able to walk again and she answers she will care of him.
A detail: When I learned James had passed I remembered that series where I had seen him and it was several years already. Thanks for your interesting!
