Just put on my old THE BLUE LAGOON LP on the record player. This was my most embarrasing purchase.. Standing in line at the cashier with that cover.I was reliefed when I paid and put it into a bagwink...
Its the worst cover in my opinion...front and back.So cheesy....

Anyone has some similar experience with a coversmile

Whoever put out Alex North's "Decision for Chemistry."

It is like the label proprietor paid for his granddaughter to take a scrapbooking course.

Intrada's The Reincarnation Of Peter Proud certainly 'stands proud', the artist seems to have 'come over' all homoerotic!

What I meant was "embarassing"...not badly executed.I admit this goes probably hand in handsmile

RAMBO 2 is another example. This Sly Stallone weired muscle pic.

Try to check some Japanese anime, game & visual novel game soundtracks.
Beyond embarrassment... big grin

Never had any issue over any soundtrack purchase regarding the cover art. However with that said the only time I ever was embarrased was when I bought the book Ninja by Eric Van Lustbader. The cover has a picture of female breast. The thing is, the book has nothing to do with female breast so if you are unfamiliar with the plot of that book then it is quite embarasing when you are in the line for the cashier.

Probably purchasing some of the Disneyland Records when I was a young adult. I was purchasing Bambi and Cinderella records when everyone else my age were purchasing KISS albums.

Well, I was embarrassed to purchase and own the poorly executed example that I cited above, so in my case, the two went hand in hand.

OnyaBirri refused to purchase Intrada's album on Lalo Schifrin's Return from Witch Mountain because he felt it too embarassing to order such.

Precisely. And while I bought most of the Les Baxter film scores that started hitting the market around 2010 or so, I could not bring myself to buy "Beach Blanket Bingo," also out of embarrassment.

Not a film score release, but with the original gate-fold cover, buying JOHN BARRY REVISITED was like, "I hope nobody who knows me sees me buying this."

Was the gatefold a centerfold shot of Jane Birkin?

Also not a film score album, but in my late teens, I kept my copy of Pink Floyd's A Nice Pair hidden in my LP collection.
