These Tyler Scream scores are weak sauce compared to the Beltrami ones.
They remind me of Mark Isham's score for Bill and Ted Face the Music; not bad scoring, but not good, either. It's just there...and not as distinctive as the work of the establishing composer. The pun I'm about to make was unavoidable, but musically speaking, the franchise (given that there's going to be a Scream 7) could use some fresh blood. John Frizzell or Benjamin Wallfisch could really do something special.
