5. Prometheus = (Super Dumb) Space Scientists 6. Covenant = Space Schmucks Alien: Enough Already! Boy did you ever get their number with 5 and 6, but I think "wanker" pretty much describes the demographic in the last few films.

Sorry I can't join in all the jokes. I take the ALIEN films very seriously, and love them all. Once - hopefully - Scott completes the David trilogy, I would love to see a film that picked up after RESSURECTION. In the alternate ending of that film, they're not only hovering above earth (as in the final cut), but actually landed just by a demolished, post-apocalyptic Paris (it's a Jeunet film, after all!). I'm tantalized by the idea of an ALIEN movie set in a post-apocalyptic earth landscape, with "Ripley clone" - now 25 years older and more humanized than how she appears in the film - back in business. Although I have no idea how the xeno would be around; presumably something United Systems Military, which took over as the main corporate antagonist after Weyland/Utani in that film, has concocted. The new Hawley series is supposed to be earth-bound too, but I haven't read anything about when it's supposed to take place in the timeline.
