Well, I doubt the studios are lowering their prices for access to their stuff.
And it has been roughly $20 for a (single) disc since for over 20 years now.
If you want them to stay in business and keep releasing new stuff...

I wonder what would be too much so that people would push back? $5 extra for a single disc? $10 for a double-disc?

This is the reality of what is essentially a dwindling business model. Physical CD production is already ending, so now you're talking soundtrack CDs which is an niche within a niche. Do you want to LLL to stay in business? If yes, then deal with higher prices. If no, then find a cheaper hobby.

You going to be okay?

I'm fine, it was your complaint about the price, not mine.

Minimum wage adjusted for inflation should be around $24.00hr today. That's just the minimum wage! So when some say the cost of CD's have gone down, (somewhat) the average buying power of Americans have gone way down over the last 40 years.

Listen to your Goldsmith box and maybe count to 10?

I really hope this reissue will allow me to find some new appreciation for this score. So far it’s an ultra-rare JW offering where, apart from some clearly wonderful highlights, I haven’t found it to be a score I want to listen to very often.

Fingers crossed…

Mine are also crossed. I've had a few of those over time. With the last few years of these Williams upgrades, I now have less of them. I hope that bears out for you.

A finely crafted (of course), dreamy, ethereal score which IMHO goes nowhere and despite its warmth and some good moments is almost totally unmemorable. It always (sorry...) seemed to me as if JW didn't really believe in this - it's the Spielberg movie few people remember... I don't know if the expanded release can change my mind...
