Has anyone watched the new Disney+ series, "Loki" ?

I didn't see a post here for this one, but it appears that the album(s?) will be getting an eventual release!

Really enjoyed the show, and the music was eclectic but fascinating. Really looking forward to more!

Here's a few links, with info / confirming the album coming..

"NH's combo of orchestra, electronics, clocks, and Norse instruments is just perfect for our God of Mischief." - Charlie Draper

I created some album art, again, since none was available. smile

Music in the first ep was fantastic. To be honest, it's the music that has resonated with me the most of the new Marvel shows.

I appreciated the overall sound Holt went for in the first episode. I could swear I heard a piece ripping off Beltrami's Hellboy though.

Love it! It is my new ringtone, replacing Jeff Russo's Star Trek Discovery theme.

The Theremin
The metronome
An ostinato
(Taiko?) drums
Brief spots of strings in just the right places

Bold, Grand synth blasts and careful use of supporting (sampled?) choir?

Waiting on a variation with Craig Huxley's Blaster Beam :-)

Looks like we're going to be getting TWO albums, a la "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier"! big grin

"Marvel Music and Hollywood Records have released the first track from the soundtrack for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Loki. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon) is the end titles cue TVA written by the show’s composer Natalie Holt (Journey’s End, Herself, Knightfall, Deadwater Fell, Press).

A full soundtrack album, Loki: Chapter One (Episodes 1-3) is set to be released on July 2 and a second album, Loki: Chapter Two (Episodes 4-6) will be coming out on July 23.

Loki is developed for television by Michael Waldron, directed by Kate Herron and stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. The first episode of the series, which features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow, premiered this past Wednesday and five more episodes will debut every the next couple of weeks on Disney+."

Great news! I thought the show was great but the score sounded excellent. I even had the volume turned down low since I watched the show so late at night. Looking forward to this. Admittedly I was unfamiliar with Natalie's work previously but I'll be looking into her other work now.

Yesterday's episode continued the sonic enjoyment... several familiar cues (or styles) from previous Thor films, especially as Loki learned the fate of Asgard while researching apocalypse events.. I heard some themes very similar to "Twilight Of The Gods" from the Ragnarok score, when Odin left his sons - very emotional!.

Overall, just absolutely loving this show and score!

Perfect fit, IMO.

I only saw the first episode but thought it had some really nice bits of music in there, so I'd be interested in hearing it away from the show.

Really nice stuff in episode 2, too. I'm interested to see what else she will do. It's definitely my favourite of the Marvel TV series scores.

Superb music---fits the show perfectly and has some standout moments that would hold up on their own. It helps that everything about the show is top-notch. Great chemistry between Hiddleston and Wilson. Looking forward to the soundtrack.

I like it! It's a fresh sound, and quite innovative. Though the album doesn't really flows, individual tracks are pretty fine.

I haven't listened to the score in isolation, but I've really enjoyed the score in episodes 4 and 5.
