Australian label Umbrella Entertainment has informed us that it has detailed its upcoming Special Edition of Bruce Beresford's Breaker Morant (1980), starring Edward Woodward, Bryan Brown, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Jack Thompson, and John Waters. The release, which will be part of the label's recently launched series Sunburnt Screens, will be available for purchase on July 7. Label description: South Africa, 1901. The British war against the Boers has deteriorated into bitter guerilla warfare. A unit of the Bushveldt Carbineers, made up mainly of Australians, is ordered by the British High Command to fight the Boer on its terms and take no prisoners, an order which will prove fatal to a man they call "The Breaker" - Lieutenant Harry Morant.
