Tell me about the tiki bar scene in "In Harm's Way." Is it on the InterTubes anyplace? I couldn't find it using "tiki bar" as one of the search phrases.
I don't know if it's the tiki bar, but if you go to the tube and type in something like "Jerry Goldsmith cameo In Harm's Way" you can see a very brief clip of JG at the piano. He and some others seem to have flowers or something around their necks, so it might be of relevance. I don't hear tiki bar music in that, just big band stuff.
I'd do the link myself, but my spaceship configuration has obliterated both my cutter and my paster.
After Douglas identifies his wife (she died during the Pearl Harbor raid while she was with another man, an Air Force officer - it's also notable that she was a beautiful Hollywood-ish blonde), he stonily walks down the street and enters the "Blue Lagoon" tiki bar. At the bar he tries to order a bourbon but, because of the martial law, he can only get a beer. Two Air Force officers are also there drinking with two women, one of the ladies is also a pretty blonde like his wife was. She smiles at Douglas at she rejoins her group at the bar. One of the brash young Air Force guys somewhat condescendingly pours some of the contents of the bottle of hard liquor he has with him into Douglas' glass of beer to "sweeten it up." The combination of an Air Force officer with a blonde hits too close to home for Douglas so he punches the guy; his buddy holds him back; and the bartender calls the police.
