A fairly common non sequitur that I believe all of us have been exposed to at one point or another.

I can top that. You read non score fans places, and they think he composed everything, from the 1989 "Batman" score to random Star Trek stuff. Even video game stuff like "The Legend of Zelda".

What an outstanding conversation! Superlative even by the high standards of "Legacy of John Williams" standards.

Hah! Makes me remember the days of Napster, when every film score uploaded there had Williams listed as composer - no matter the year! I don't understand how oblivious the general public can be.

Extraordinary that the electronics were written and recorded FIRST and then the orchestra accompanied the completed electronic tracks.

Images hasn't made the cut on my buy list, though it has moved up thanks to The Legacy of John Williams' gracious sampling of its intriguing and singular score.

In its bizarre passages, it is somewhat like Toru Takemitsu's minimalist, naturally derived score to Kwaidan.

I haven't had a chance to listen yet. Do they shed any light on the source of the older "Images" CD and what was used for the new release?

Thank you. I'll be sure to listen. I have the older version and am on the fence about the new one.
