And I’ve tried several browsers. Also, when I tried to write a post earlier today, before I logged off, nothing happened when I clicked “post message”. I can log-in on my older iMac in a different room. The only difference between the two is on the newer iMac I use a Wacom tablet and pen. I click log-in and nothing happens. I’ve used the same laptop for three years without problems, so I don’t think it’s hardware-related for me. And now I just looked out my back window: 4 horsemen galloping across my lawn. (Not to mention the plague of locusts we just suffered.) So I don't know why I can't log-in anymore on one of the two. I 'm able to log-in on Chrome and Safari. Still not sure if its a site issue or an issue on my end. Actually, a little something happens when I type in and enter - the box goes from green to turkoise. Also, the ‘post message’ didn’t work back when I discovered this problem. So for me, I think it has something to do with the interaction between the post boxes and the “command buttons” on the page. Strange that it happened out of the blue a few days ago. It’s not browser-related as the same problem appears in all browsers. Can’t be computer-related either since I’ve been using the same laptop to post on FSM for three years. Ugh!    Posted:   Jul 28, 2021 - 12:28 AM     By:   Thor   (Member) Two weeks later, and I FINALLY found out what was causing the log-in issues: The virus program BitDefender. It has worked fine for years (it was one of the most highly recommended free virus programs), but two weeks ago, something must have happened with it that prevented me from logging into FSM (and Dropbox too, it turns out). I have now uninstalled the software, and can log in on my laptop again! Hooray! I have lots of threads to catch up on now.
