Greetings, this is my very first post on here, so if either I repeat something that has been discussed before, or it's simply a stupid post, I apologize beforehand...

I recently saw the fantastic documentary "Summer of Soul", directed by the Roots' Questlove, about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, a/k/a "black Woodstock". It is for me the best movie of the year to date, by a mile or two.

I have feverishly been trying to find any news about whether or not there is (or will be) a soundtrack for this documentary, and have found absolutely nothing.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Fantastic movie. I couldn't find anything on the soundtrack, either. But the reception has been great so there's no reason not to put one out--except maybe rights issues.

There was a time when any film like this would have a soundtrack.
