SEASON 6:
Seasons one, two, and three have no credited composers. This is the only season up and it's not complete, but given how few original scores there are to the prior seasons, this is probably about half the credited scores of the series (for this season as a whole). Attention readers: I have been using a system that is nothing more than a note to myself; for cues that I want to include in a suite one day, for now on I will denote them with ^ symbol. It has no special meaning to anyone else but myself. No, the lack of an up arrow symbol doesn't mean the cue is bad (it just may have too much SFX or FX for suite use or just isn't worth my time to edit and include). Hence forth this system will be in all future threads and pre-exiting threads that I go back to for missed episodes. Anything in ( ) are just notes to the arrow and you need not bother with that. The system does not mean that I will make a suite or that one has been made, it's simply for my own reference if and when I do decide to. Pilot attempt from a few years earlier, called "A Tale of Wells Farog": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpDM1hepeGs No credited composer. Paul Sawtell is credited as a music supervisor, though it wouldn't surprise me if it's made up of original scoring.

SEASON 1:
The credit down below comes from IMDb, so I'll include it but assume it could be incorrect. "The Thin Rope" (A.K.A.: the first episode of the series) By: Harry Sukman (uncredited) https://ok.ru/video/3244946229946 Highlights: 0:32 in. 5:04 in. 8:35 in. 10:33 in. 18:22 in. 22:06 in. Supposedly Sukman did a score which he did not get credit for and in the chance that is true, I had to cover it. It's got some good material in it. There are no credited scores in season one, season two, season three, and half of season four.

SEASON 4:
"Dead Man's Street" (4.31) By: Juan GarcĂa Esquivel (as "ESQUIVEL") https://ok.ru/video/3257091492538 Highlights: 0:46 in. Whimsical cue that reminds me whimsical stuff from an episode "The Virginian" that Nathan van Cleave scored.^ 1:29 in.^ 3:00 in.^ 5:51 in.^ 9:35/10:17 in.^ 13:10 in. 16:07 in. 21:46 in. First credited score of the series. Relatively short cue made up mostly of fight music. (NtM: 13:29) "Pearl Hart" By: Henri Rene https://ok.ru/video/3257089854138 Highlights: 2:30 in.^ 5:43 in. 12:24 in. 23:42 in. On a set of season four scoring, I'm not sure I'd include any of this. Out-of-context quote... To attractive blonde woman, "Getting pretty tight."

Continuing SEASON 4:
"Vasquez" By: Eliot Daniel https://ok.ru/video/3257089723066 Highlights: 0:45 in. 2:10 in.^ 3:51 in. 6:52 in.^ 9:13 in.^ 16:40 in. 19:24 in.^ On a set of season four scoring, I'd probably include about half of this episode score. (NtM: 14:40) "Kid Brother" By: Harry Sukman (as "Harry Shukman") https://ok.ru/video/3257091361466 Highlights: 0:45 in. 8:26 in. Joining a cue already in progress for the good part.^ 21:43 in. And the cue that immediately follows it.^ 25:01 in.^ On a set of season four scoring, I'd include all the cues I cited above.

Finishing SEASON 4:
"Man for the Job" By: John Williams (as "Johnny Williams") https://ok.ru/video/3257091033786 Highlights: 1:34 in.^ 7:36 in.^ 11:03 in.^ 12:10 in. 17:25 in.^ 19:47 in. With some exciting horse riding music a little bit into the cue, with staccato brass and timpani, with a solo trumpet playing over.^ 22:44 in. 24:15 in. On a set of season four scoring, I might include everything I cited. It's not the entire episode score, but it is most of it. Out-of-context quote... "The wife's probably anxious to see it."

"Doc Dawson" By: Bob Thompson https://ok.ru/video/3259615414970 Highlights: 11:26 in.^ 13:25 in.^ 14:02 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 16:50 in. 20:14 in. 21:58 in. 23:53 in. Thompson provides a fun whimsical score for a delightful semi-reformed bad guy. "Jim, you know me, you believe I'd murder somebody?" sees Jim look at him quietly, "Unless it was absolutely necessary." "The Kinfolk" By: Bob Thompson https://ok.ru/video/3259615087290 Highlights: 0:50 in.^ 11:25 in. 14:41 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 18:46 in. 19:43 in. Continuing SEASON 5:
"Leading Citizen" By: Morton Stevens https://ok.ru/video/3259615021754 Highlights: 0:50 in. Acoustic Spanish guitar piece.^ 7:15 in. 8:37 in.^ 10:03 in. 12:27 in. 16:19 in.^ 23:42 in.^ Actor Robert Middleton makes a memorable appearance as Judge Bodie Seaton. The actor died in 1977. A spin-off series with his character might have been fun. He made four appearance on this show and luckily, his next episode will have him reprise the character one more time. He was also no stranger to western TV series and was even a judge in some of them. "The Killing of Johnny Lash" By: Stanley Wilson https://ok.ru/video/3259613973178 Highlights: 7:36 in. 11:04 in.^ 21:51 in. On a set of season five scoring, I'd skip this episode score. "The Bride and the Bandit" By: Stanley Wilson https://ok.ru/video/3259615218362 Highlights: 7:49 in. 14:49 in. 19:20 in. 20:36 in. 22:10 in. In spite of the credit to Wilson, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to find out that opening cue at 0:50, is by Stevens. On a set of season five scoring, I'd probably only include two cues (14:49 and 22:10). There's an actor named ... Dick Rich. Must ... resist ... the ... temptation...

Continuing SEASON 5:
"Escort to Santa Fe" By: Morton Stevens https://ok.ru/video/3259614431930 Highlights: 0:50 in.^ 10:20 in. 12:03 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 15:33 in.^ 18:44 in. 23:52 in. Mournful arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic. And yes -- I did look up to seen when it was written, if it was in existence when Lincoln was shot. It was just a few short years earlier. For a long stretch here it's going to be only Stevens. In-universe, it's 1865. And yes, it was deliberate as they latter read a letter aloud that Abraham Lincoln was shot and is dead. They even lower the flag. "Frightened Witness" By: Morton Stevens https://ok.ru/video/3259614563002 Highlights: 4:44 in.^ 10:16 in. 11:26 in. 21:52 in. 23:00 in.^ 24:39 in. "He's dead -- look after him." (Why -- is he suddenly going to come back to life and need assistance???) "The Border Renegade" By: Morton Stevens https://ok.ru/video/3259614759610 Highlights: 0:52 in. 12:23 in. 22:57 in. 24:48 in. Bad Guy: "Someone always has to lose, amigo, this time it was you."

That first scene of him, standing around, looking befuddled, dazed, and confused -- probably just saw the J.J. Trek film and the box office for it. (NtM: 15:59) "The Has-Been" By: Morton Stevens https://ok.ru/video/3259615611578 Highlights: 2:27 in. Joining a cue already in progress for the good part. 13:25 in.^ 15:48 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^(second) 18:09 in.^ 23:31 in. Adam West guest stars. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 15:25 in.^ 16:47/17:47 in. 20:46 in. 24:29 in. Despite all the cues cited above, on a set of season five scoring, I'd probably only include half of them.
